Multiple Disability Program

This is a weekly program for children with multiple disabillities. This program includes curriculum and direct instruction for academic subjects, intervention services, ABA therapy (when needed or wanted), art/music therapy (location dependent), 1:1 aide services, social skills, and more.

ABA Therapy

ABA treatment approaches are not one-size-fits-all. Plans are designed by a qualified BCBA who evaluates the student and their unique needs, skills, preferences, interests, and challenges.

The BCBA uses this information to create goals and an intervention plan. This plan is then delivered by a licensed professional, such as a registered behavior technician (RBT) or board-certified assistant behavior analyst (BCABA). Generally referred to as a behavior therapist, this is the person who usually runs the therapy sessions, with guidance from the BCBA.

ABA is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. It is typically used to help people with autism and other developmental disorders learn behaviors that help them live safer and more fulfilling lives.

ABA focuses on teaching necessary skills and stopping dangerous behaviors rather than preventing harmless self-stimulatory behavior (stims). Therapists work with autistic people to improve skills like:

-Communication and language abilities
-Social skills
-Self-care and hygiene routines
-Play and social skills
-Motor abilities

Art Therapy

Art therapy is an effective treatment for students' experiencing developmental, medical, educational, social or psychological impairment. A key goal in art therapy is to improve or restore the student's functioning and his/her sense of personal well being. Art therapy can include a wide range of art materials and processes. Your sessions could potentially include activities such as working with clay, painting, making a mask, creating a visual journal, and assembling a collage. Most often, the focus will be on the process rather than creating a finished art product.

Music Therapy

Music therapy is the use of music to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of a group or individual. It employs a variety of activities, such as listening to melodies, playing an instrument, drumming, writing songs, and guided imagery.

LIfe Skills and Future Planning Field Trips

These field trips typically address things like shopping, social skills in the community, college visits, business tours, job shadowing, and much more.
